20" Fat Bike - Little Monster

The Sondors bike has taken the ebike industry by storm (see what I did there).  That being said, it isn't the right bike for everyone.  Say what!?  Let me clarify - Not everyone fits the Sondors - literally.  The one size all method to selling keeps the price point low, but it's often too tall.  Modifications in both seat posts and handlebars can accommodate taller riders.  (Unless you're 7' - then you should get a dirtysixer)  Since my wife is leaning more towards the 5' mark, even with smaller tires specifically made for the bike the standover height was a bit...

Cruising in the Leitra Velomobile!

Come along for a ride in the Leitra Velomobile.  Many know the Leitra, it has been in production longer than any other velomobile on the market. It's not the fastest but is very practical.  Mine is used as a daily commuter and has a 350 watt mid drive motor from GNG.  The battery is a 36v, 15ah lithium from PingBattery.  I find this amount of power to tackle any hill, without being too fast to pedal along with.  The Leitra has lots of storage space and has hauled many boxes and packages to and from work.  It's also great for...

New World Record!

Congratulations to Ellen van Vugt and her team! Today they have made cycling history by breaking both the Women's and Men's records for the 6 hour cycling category.  The custom built streamliner and years of preparation resulted in an amazing feat.  She rode a total of 404.04 km, (251.05 miles) and maintained an average speed of 67.3 km/h (41.81 mph). Ebike testing - Storm Sondors Fat Bike

It's here!  After receiving one of the very first Storm Sondors Fat Bikes, I decided to give it a go both on and off road.  For anyone not familiar with the bike, it's one of the most successful Indiegogo crowdfunding campaigns - ever.  With an initial goal of just $75,000, over 5 million was raised.  There was some controversy over whether or not the bike would deliver with the promised specs at the price.  Let me tell you this - It delivered. The first test was a steep and long uphill.  Over 700 feet of climbing in less than 4 miles....
